I'd safely assume that any war with the US would be a short-lived affair:
The US spends as much on defence as the rest of the world together. Now, given the
unlikely scenario that the rest of the world gangs up, they haven't had the same economies
of scale as the US, and will get stomped into the ground nonetheless.
In essence, no conventional war against the US can be a long-lived affair really, as
long as the US is not forced into an occupying role that negates a good bit of their
technological advantage.
