Actually it is exactly the point. The point is not that what he's done
is new, fantastic or even useful (or not). Hell, I haven't even read
the article yet. What counts is that he bothered to write the article
and have it published. That's a lot more useful than you curing cancer
and not telling anyone.

Yes, of course they are. But criticizing its publication rather than
its content seems counterproductive.
I'm looking forward to your article in the next issue whether its
brilliant or pointless.
